Job Position: Lawn Maintenance/Clean-up Crew Member

If you like working with plants and you have a passion for making a difference in your outdoor environment then Dickerson Landscaping may have a job opportunity for you.  
We are looking for someone who takes great care and pride in his/her work… from plant sculpting to detailed yard work.  

If that someone is you… here are some of the tasks you would be expected to perform:

1.    Identify local plants to ensure proper care
2.    Assist lawn maintenance supervision with various tasks
3.    Prune and sculpt plants
4.    Clean up residential and commercial properties
5.    Fill out paperwork as assigned
6.    Participate in training sessions and complete tests

If you are the person we are looking for you are a team player who works well independently when the supervisor is not around. You have a strong work ethic and function well in varied outdoor conditions.

Job Position:   Lawn Maintenance Crew Member

 

JOB SUMMARY
Ensure proper the maintenance of the grass and landscape beds for our clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Equipment maintenance.
· Mowing, edging, and blowing.
· Trimming of shrubs
· Fertilizing.
· Herbicide application.
· Equipment maintenance.
· Maintain written documentation, as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· Transportation to and from Office.
· Valid Florida ID and License.
· Complete training program according to schedule.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Performs other duties as assigned by management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
· Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; spraying chemicals; outside weather conditions.

K.P.I.
· Education: We will have monthly training seminars and testing for improvement.
a. Excellence -Complete all training and score in the 90s on all tests.
b. Minimal Standard - Completes all training seminars and scores least an 85 on tests.
c. Failure- To misses any training and score below an 85 on any test.

· Neatness: Employee is expected to keep the shop, yard and truck clean.
a. Excellence - Takes initiative to see that everything is clean and organized.
b. Minimal Standard – Keeps personal area clean. Cleans yard and shop.
c. Failure – Any of the following are dirty or unorganized: truck, shop, or yard.

· Team Participation:  Employee must be team oriented. Needs to keep clients and crew informed.
a. Excellence – All clients are informed of progress on their property.
b. Minimal Standard – Empowering crewmembers to deal with client issues during job progress.
c. Failure – Missing deadlines on schedule. Failure to execute daily communication between          team members and clients.

· Punctuality: Employee needs to be on time each day and ready to work.
a. Excellence - Employee shows up 10 minutes early and is prepared for work. Doesn’t call in and is never late
b. Minimal Standard - Employees shows up to work on time.
c. Failure - Employee fails to show up on time, calls off, or is not ready.

Job Description: Landscaping Crew Member


Job Summary:

The key responsibilities of the Landscaping Crew Member is to assist the Crew Leader in all aspects of the job, which include: building decks, retaining walls, paver patios, ponds, digging drains, laying sod and planting plants. 
 
Essential Functions:
1. Equipment maintenance
2. Load and unload trucks every day
3. Dig as assigned
4. Maintain written documentation, as required

Additional Responsibilities: (Shared with other office employees)
1. Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Qualifications:

Position Summary

Responsible for providing excellent lawn services to Dickerson Landscaping customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of the Lawn Maintenance Forman 2:

 

Company Policy and Procedures

·         Understand and abide by company procedures

·         Enforce company's policies and procedures

·         Arrive on time and ready to work by 7:25am

·         Demonstrate good attendance/schedule days off ahead of time

·         Enforce dress code and the wearing of proper personal PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)

Performance/Production and Skills

·         Teach crew members procedures and production techniques

·         Print out route sheets and perform in the most efficient way possible

·         Perform route sheets with minimal assistance

·         Demonstrate ability to be flexible due to environmental conditions

·         Show a familiarity with clients and their property

·         Learn daily routines of lawn maintenance

Physical Performance and Skills

·         Over see the loading and unloading of Lawn Maintenance trucks daily with necessary equipment to perform lawn and landscaping tasks from check off sheet

·         Keep daily check off sheets up to date

  • Mow lawns at the appropriate heights desired by Dickerson Landscaping clients and touch up lawns for optimum results
  • Trim, shape, and prune; trees, shrubs; and perennials.
  • Prune trees up to 6 feet in parking or walk way areas

·         Ensure all clippings or cuttings have been pick up and are securely loaded on the truck

·         Ensure loads will not blow off while driving

  • Blow and/or sweep all hardscaping, decks, driveways
  • Edge turf from all beds areas and hardscaping
  • Weed all beds leaving NO WEEDS

·         NO WEEDS

  • Maintain written documentation as required
  • Participate in training sessions

·         Double check behind techs to ensure customer satisfaction and a job well done

·         Perform all tasks with limited supervision.

·         Organize jobs start to finish; delegate duties to technicians

·         Keep up with all paper work and other forms of communications with coordinator/office

·         Perform lawn and landscaping tasks per company scheduled route

·         Fill out worksheets; turn in all receipts, and email daily report to Operations Coordinator

Equipment and Company Property

·         Maintain a clean driving record of six points or less

·          Demonstrate the ability to drive trucks with equipment trailers

·         Demonstrate the ability to operate small and large Lawn Maintenance equipment properly and safely

·         Keeping track of crew's equipment at all time

·         Protect and preserve all Landscaping tools and equipment (know of its where-about at all times while in the field)

·         Keep vehicles clean and need at all times

·         Keep work space clean and organized

·         See to it that plants are stood up in the nursery in the morning on the way to the trucks by following up behind Techs

·         Report any equipment that needs repairing that day to Production coordinator and on designated Dry Erase Board

·         Grease and check fluids of all equipment as needed or weekly (Fridays)

·         Sharpen all blades as necessary to maintain optimum cutting performance (Tuesdays)

·         Teach proper equipment operations to Techs

·         Perform basic maintenance of trucks and equipment.

·         Teach crew members how to act in a professional manner and in accordance to company values

·         See to the carrying out of clients requests, if they can be done in 5 to 10 minutes of the allotted time per schedule and report to Office

Specific vision requirements including extensive searching for different plant types, close vision, depth perception and an ability to adjust focus.
